The Canadian National Film Board hosts a yearly contest titled "Hot House" in which animators are presented a theme from which they must create and submit a short film concept. The chosen participants will get to make that short film under the supervision of the NFB. This year's theme was '100'. I decided to center my short film around the day in the life of a brick in ancient Rome as, in those times, bricks had just begun to be used as the primary construction material. This also coincided with the construction of Trajan's market (the emperor at the time). Here are the beat boards I submitted.
